After what seemed like forever, Ryuhei Sasagawa finally made entered the wealthy side of Shiroiwa. The towering neighbourhood took him over with jealousy and disdain, he hated people who would rub their better living conditions in his face. Regardless of how intimidated he felt surrounded by the upperclass estate, he could hardly contain his excitement for the events that he expected to follow upon his arrival to his destination. Not long ago, the Blond boy made a bet with Mitsuko Souma that in order to prove his heterosexuality, he must kiss a girl of his choosing, so it was natural he'd pick the one person he's most fond of, Izumi Kanai. The only down side to this was because of his poor living conditions, the Lanky youth had to walk the long distance instead of the better alternative of taking the Bus. But in his mind, it was all worth it, every second. Ever since the fiasco at the school dance, Ryuhei couldn't get the preppy girl out his head. His feelings intensified when both himself and Izumi were brutally beaten and later murdered by his leader's psychotic counterpart. Even when she had a brief affair with the loner, Shogo Kawada, he still upheld his feelings towards her. She brought him out of his pathetic life of violence and crime and lead him into a life with reason and worth. He'd just about do anything for her. He would, and had died for her ( Although, this is nothing for someone who is already dead.)

As Ryuhei closed in on his destination, sweat tripping out of every pour in both excitement and nervousness. I'm going to Izumi fucking Kanai's house! And we're gonna be kissin' 'n stuff! Every step seemed to lower in pace as he lazily strut towards the large door of the establishment. He could feel the butterflies flapping away in his stomach more as each step pulled him closer to the abode. As he finally landed on the door mat, he felt like he couldn't hold back his excitement any longer. He thrust his lanky arm towards the door bell in anticipation, he hesitated for a moment to catch his breath and then processed to apply the pressure needed. Seconds later, he heard a voice coming from within the building, followed by the large door exposing the abode's interior. The Blond youth's muscles tensed as he layed his eyes on the one person he wanted to see the most.

A couple of hours before Ryuhei was scheduled to arrive, Izumi begun the process of making herself ready. When they agreed to watch a movie a while ago, she had no idea she would end up feeling this stressed about the whole thing. They made the plans as friends, but after everything they had been through... Was it now a date? To Izumi, this was a vital question. The difference in what outfit to wear on a friendly movie night and on a date, was colossal. Finally she decided on a light pink sundress, cut right above her knees and with a white belt tied around the waist. It wasn't too casual, nor was it too fancy. She hoped it didn't make it look like she was trying too hard.

Izumi had promised Ryuhei to make some dinner for the two of them, but as she had made a rehearsel version of the curry the night before, she ended up deciding maybe it was best for the cook to take care of it after all. We don't need to die again this soon, she thought, only half-jokingly. For a moment she was lost in the memory of the fight they had participated in, against that... that insane Kiriyama. Her stomache tied itself into a knot as she remembered that day. No, Izumi. Just don't think about it... Try not to think about it.

As a final preperation, she entered her family's rather large screening room. It was the replica of your standard movie teathre, though not a very grand one. She still wasn't quite sure how all the technical stuff worked, so she gave her chosen DVD to her father and asked him to put it in, making it ready to go when Ryuhei had arrived. She had a cunning little smile on her face as she glanced upon the cover. "The Notebook". Well, that could easily be mistaken for "Die Hard", the movie they had originally planned to see, right?

When everything was ready, she quickly hushed her parents out the door. She had chosen an evening she knew they had a benefit related to his work anyway. The last thing she needed was her father giving Ryuhei a third degree. She wasn't certain he would have passed... Actually she was certain he wouldn't.

She sat down on their comfortable couch in the livingroom, lightly tapping her fingers against the armrest, her other hand stroking a few wild hairs away from her forehead. Why am I this nervous? It's just Ryuhei... I shouldn't be this nervous, should I? She got up to get a glass of water, when she heard the doorbell ring.
"Open up!" she commaned, to any of the household staff nearest to the door-opener.
She made her way towards the now open door, a bright smile automatically appearing on her face as she saw the lanky boy standing in front of her.
"Hey, Ryuhei. I'm so glad to see you!" She greeted cheerfully and let him inside.

Ryuhei's eyes brightened when Izumi Kanai opened the door. To him, the light that lit the interior of the large hallways that were glowing behind her made her resemble an Angel at the doors of heaven. Caught off guard, the Blond delinquent turned his head away from the host to hide the shade of red that covered his face. He then couldn't muster up any words to target the petite girl standing before him, Well? Say something you moron! He took his time to swallow all the saliva that gushed into his mouth and finally greeted Izumi as he made his way into her abode.

The blond delinquent was overwhelmed with astonishment and jealousy at the house's large interior, he had never been inside an upper classman's house before that moment. Ryuhei tried to continue conversation with the girl to avoid any silence, "Wh-whoa...! Your house is fucking huge! Who did you say your old man was again?!" He yelled enthusiastically.

Izumi couldn't help but think Ryuhei looked almost nervous, as he was standing in front of her. She thought she might even see him blush. For some reason that sparked the butterflies in her own stomach as well. If he was nervous, it meant there was... something to be nervous about, right? She could no longer try to convince herself this was a friendly movie-night. It was a first date after all. She took a deep breath, trying to keep her cool.

As she led him through the hallway, she noticed him staring in awe at everything around them. It almost made her feel uncomfortable, as if embarrassed by all the expensive decor in her home. She knew Ryuhei's own living conditions weren't even close to this, despite not knowing exactly how bad.
"Who did you say your old man was again?!" Ryuhei loudly asked. His voice almost echoed through the corridor, which made her chuckle softly. The house was usually so quiet (too quiet). Leave it to Ryuhei to change that in a heartbeat.
"He's a town officer," she answered briefly, eager to change the subject to something other than her family's status. She lightly put her hand on his back and nudged him through an open door to their left. They now found themselves in one of the manor's two dining rooms. Not the grand one where her parent's sometimes hosted their fancy banquets. This one was relatively small, the main attraction being a custom made mahogany table surrounded by eight chairs of Victorian style. The ceiling was decorated with golden chandeliers, only a few lit to light up the room.

"Are you hungry, Ryu? I figured we could eat before we watch the movie, if that's alright. That will give us a chance to talk as well." She leaned her elbows on the table, looking over at him. She tried to cover her concern with a smile. He had seemed pretty upset lately and promised he would open up more about it once they got a chance to talk alone. She was honestly curious, and worried, about what he had to say. But she had decided to let him do so at his own pace, not wanting to force anything out of him.

Izumi seemed to slightly jump at the Blond's sudden question, which she briefly answered "He's a town officer," eager to change the topic. She turned to nudge him in the direction of the Dining hall where they were planned to eat. The dining room was the size of his house, he was in awe of everything in the entire room. 'Why couldn't I be born rich!?' Ryuhei didn't want to be rude around the petite host, so he waited for her to gesture them to sit down before eating. He then placed his hands into his trouser pockets casually to give off a relaxing vibe to Izumi.

The petite girl turned to face Ryuhei and leaned her Elbows against the table, "Are you hungry, Ryu? I figured we could eat before we watch the movie, if that's alright. That will give us a chance to talk as well." As if on queue the Blond's stomach began to make rumbling sounds, as if to answer her question for him. Ryuhei's face flushed red with embarrassment at this and turned to face another direction to not let the petite host notice. He then flexed his flat abdomen in hopes that this would make the sounds stop. His shirt was tighter than he'd usually wear (Since he has no money to buy clothes, he actually stole it from a younger boy,) so his flexing was very noticeable. Because of this, the Blond delinquent couldn't bring himself to answer her question. 'WHY DOES THIS SHIT ALWAYS HAPPEN TO ME?!' After a moment or so, he finally spoke up, "S-sure, I-Izumi... Sounds g-great...!" with his gaze still averted from the Prep.

Her question about whether or not he'd like some food, was answered by his growling stomach before he could get a word out himself. For some unexplainable reason, she actually found that rather cute, even more so when she again saw him blushing. She had to suppress her girly giggling. After all, the poor boy looked so embarrassed by it all, trying his hardest not to let it show. Laughing at him would definitely not make him feel better.

After he himself also confirmed he would like some food, she gestured for him to take a seat and did so herself as well. She had politely asked her guest what he would prefer for dinner, so the lovely prawn massaman curry dish in front of them was his request. Actually, he just requested "something with curry" and she picked out the prawns. Izumi was quite a picky eater, but that was one of her favorite dishes. She just hoped that it was something he would enjoy too.
"Don't be afraid to just dig in." She smiled and poured them both a glass of water.

As they started eating, she kept looking intently at him, not sure how to get out what she was wanted to the most. She really didn't want to burst out with anything and make him (even more) uncomfortable. But she had some questions, important ones, that she needed to have answered. At this point it wasn't even about how strangely he had acted about the whole thing with her and Shogo. Before the fight, he had told her he had forgotten about that by now anyway (Even though that's probably a lie, she figured). But still, Izumi was far more concerned something else could be seriously wrong. If he was hurting, in any way, she had to find out. She had promised him she wouldn't let Kiriyama hurt him, yet that had completely failed. Now her new promise, the one she had made to herself, was not to let anyone hurt him.
"Listen, Ryuhei," she begun, putting her silverware down. "I have been thinking about some of the... stuff that you have mentioned to me." She paused for a second, pondering how she should phrase her actual point.
"I mean, about how things are with you. Really. I was hoping you could tell me more about what's been bothering you lately." She tried to keep her voice casual, not wanting to make him feel too cornered. But she knew her eyes must be revealing how worried she truly was and found it hard to keep looking straight at him.
