| Some of those are from the Photo booklet that comes with the limited edition, right? I can't wait 'til I get mine. Do you think I should post some of my Battle Royale: Mean Girls parody in here too? Coincidentally, most of them contain Kazuo. | |

| Done and Done. Question time~ What is it about Kazuo that drew you to him? What do you think his life was like before the Program? If he won, what do you think he'd do next? What do you think he'd be like in his daily life?

| What is it about Kazuo that drew you to him?
I've literally always had a thing for antagonists and sociopaths. Ever since Gaston from Beauty and the Beast. I've found I really enjoy mute or next-to-mute characters. They're just adorable, not to mention all kinds of intriguing. The depths of wordless communication, i.e. body language and facial expressions and submachine guns, fascinates me. Plus, he's just a BAMF. From the beginning of the film when he's tucked away in his own little corner in the shadows, you can tell. He's sittin' there, super chill, chewing gum, when everyone else is flippin' shit. Sure Kawada's in his corner, but he's not chewing gum, nor does he have psychotic hair. >_> Kazuo goes on to prove himself a BAMF by taking out five armed kids in 30 seconds just by spitting his gum in one's face. *_* Come on. <3
What do you think his life was like before the Program?
His walk and attitude certainly seem to suggest a heavy dose of juvenile delinquency of the rebellious, devil-may-care nature. Yummy. The joy he derives from massacring his peers suggests he was probably the more dangerous type of delinquent, i.e. spending his weekends mutilating neighborhood pets or something. As such, it can be imagined he came from an abusive household perhaps~? And probably caused all kinds of trouble in school, assuming he went to school.
If he won, what do you think he'd do next?
Go on to be a serial killer or hit man, probably. '__' Maybe join the Crazy 88? ;D
What do you think he'd be like in his daily life?
Again, devil-may-care juvenile delinquent. <3 Maybe it's just me, but I can't imagine him talking at all, ever - not that he's genuinely mute, just that he chooses to never speak. He probably slacks off a lot. Doesn't go anywhere unless he has to, or unless he's just feeling restless. Does everything on a whim kind of guy.

| Would Kazuo then die at the hands of the bride though? What is it about Kazuo that drew you to him?I don't actually have a clue why, the second scene I had ever scene in BR was his death and I tend to end up loving the first character I see in a series (The first was Fumiyo, but I wasn't paying attention then.) As time went on, I only payed attention to his scenes and drift out for the rest of the film. What do you think his life was like before the Program?Well, I have no doubt in my mind that he was/is a Yankee (Hair style, the way he walks, his expressions *and the fact the Director made Yakuza films before BR*,) the extreme kind. Not the same kind as the Kiriyama(Numai) family, who are into petty theft and fighting, but the kind that'd kill his neighbors Cats and blame the Dog, starts fires for the sake of it and bludgeon Hobos with a baseball bat (Seriously, that's what hardcore Yankees do in Japan.) I doubt that he was part of an abusive household, his reaction to being attacked would have been different (He thought it was funny when they *Shuya and Mitsuko* fought back, when an abused child would have ripped them apart straight away.) I honestly think he was just born that way, some people just are (Apparently, 0.1% of the population suffers from anti-social behavior, it's just hard to diagnose.) I also think he'd have been brought up by either neglectful parents or busy parents or even raised by a single parent. I don't see him as a cunning sociopath, just a one who does what he wants when he wants, so he'd have to have guardians who can't keep a full track on him, or who don't care either way. If he won, what do you think he'd do next?I've thought that maybe he would keep killing Hobos until he could sign up for the next BR and keep doing so until he's too old, then maybe join the Army or start killing other people. What do you think he'd be like in his daily life?I think he's like me in the way that he doesn't like to talk much, and only does when he deems it relevant. I don't think he'd have attended school very much, but he was dressed very well for a Yankee (His shirt was tucked in and everything!) so I'm not sure. Also, the way he looks in his school picture, he looks like the type who'd stay up late and read the weekly Jump (1999 everybody!) New Kazuo FanArt! | |

Dude, there are American assholes who beat up hobos from time to time. ~_~' God, I love the way he walks. But I totally agree with the killing and the arson and the bludgeoning and yeah. xD Definitely has that attitude. Probably has Anti-Social Personality Disorder. Almost definitely had neglectful parent(s) - I could see him being raised by an alcoholic father or something. I think he'd retaliate more seriously against authority figures than his peers; if he's in a fight with another kid, it's all fun and games. If he's in a fight with an adult, it's srs bznz. That's how I imagine it at least. - Quote :

I thought it was cute, but also kind of telling; on one hand he maybe likes to dress nice, but on the other that's probably some little sociopathic quirk of his, lol. And the way it's a uniform but it looks kind of disheveled on him sort of hints at that, I think.

Cunts. I can't really see him with a Dad, might be because I'm technically a bastard and can't see anyone with a father figure, but I can picture him with a busy, single mother (But I have that too...) He looks too refined to be part of an alcoholic family, I don't know why but I honestly can't see it, at all. To me, the fact that he wasn't given a back story just tells me that he lived a somewhat normal life, but suffered from Anti-social behavior. I don't think he really cares about age, just that he could get away with more if his victim was someone vulnerable. He doesn't seem like the type to attract any friends or allies either and that he likes being alone. - Quote :

And the way it's a uniform but it looks kind of disheveled on him sort of hints at that, I think. The Japanese have a high dress code, so maybe that's a part of him that's normal. His Gakuen is at a normal length actually, some Yankees like to cut theirs at breast length but it's rare to see a long Gakuen. I can picture him in clothes a normal boy would wear, not that a Yankee would wear (If that makes any sense or relevance.)

| Hm..... I'm not sure. I always pictured his background as not that dissimilar to books!Kazuo. I imagine apathetic, busy, but above all very rich parents.
Although this could easily just be me not being very imaginative.
